How to review

1. Open the practice explorer in reviewer mode (Grade 3 · 3R2 pilot is the first set to check).
2. Try the activity as a student, then read the Item record table under it (13 fields).
3. Check it against the list below. If everything passes, click Approve this item. If not, leave it as draft and type a note for the writer.
4. When you are done, click Export approvals. That downloads a file called approvals.js. Email it to Kevin; he publishes it and the approved items go live for students.

Approvals are saved in this browser until exported. If an item is edited later its version changes and it needs approval again.

Quality checklist

Approve only if every box applies

Aligned with the correct NYS grade-level standard. MAD, GLAD, and Linguistic Demand are accurate for that standard (check the ALD page cited in Source Traceability). Language function and form are appropriate. WIDA Level 1–6 differentiation is right, and the learning goal is the same at every level. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing opportunities are included where appropriate. Materials are age-appropriate and culturally responsive. Home-language supports and accessibility are considered. Clear evidence of what students are expected to demonstrate. Original content; not copied from WIDA, NYSED, or any test.
